Cosmic Photo prompt.

Hi there, it’s time for The Cosmic Photo Challenge to provide you with some extracurricular activities, by way of this week’s prompt.

Time to get out in the fresh air again this week, as we capture; Scenes from an autumn garden.

(If you aren’t currently experiencing autumn in your part of the world, feel free to share alternative seasonal photos, or have a rifle through your archives)

Right, that’s it, have a lovely break and I’ll see you on Monday.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: My one weakness is…

Good morning, we survived the storm, yay!

After a rather blustery weekend, The Cosmic Photo Challenge returns to warm your heart, with images of our collective passions, obsessions, collections and enthusiasms, with this week’s prompt; My one weakness is…

Well I’m a bit of a nerd, there’s no getting away from it, so I had a selection of beautiful artefacts to choose from. Should I go for my collection of Audrey  Hepburn memorabilia? Or my shelf of neatly arranged Terry Pratchett hardbacks?

No, on balance I think the most honest choices would be the two things which have been my most consuming obsessions over the years; music and Twin Peaks.

There’s even one of my old videos, giving a whistle stop tour of some of my vinyl and CD collection.

Now it’s time for you to reveal your great passions, come on don’t be shy…

Cosmic Photo prompt.

Hello there, from a very wet and windy UK, where I’ve been trying to think of photos to take indoors for this week’s Cosmic Photo Challenge, as Storm Amy batters the country.

What I came up with was this; My one weakness is…

Now, I could have used the word “obsession” or “passion”, or even “vice”, but what I’m talking about is the one thing you can’t help collecting.

Are you a bit overfond of ceramic cats? Do you have a passionate enthusiasm for Japanese bonsai trees? Is your collection of Elvis memorabilia worthy of showcasing? Do you have potted plants on every available surface? Are you, in short, a massive fan of something and have the goods to prove it?

Well, if so, I’d like to see that in Monday’s post. And if your particular passion is of a more esoteric nature, feel free to illustrate that in whatever way you like.

Have a safe, happy and above all, dry weekend and I’ll see you all again soon.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Changing seasons.

Welcome to autumn on The Cosmic Photo Challenge, where this week we’re celebrating; Changing seasons.

(I left the theme intentionally broad, to accommodate our friends in southern climes)

I returned to the small community woodland above Goodleigh village, to capture the fruits and colours of autumn on a fresh and sunny afternoon.

I’d love to see what seasonal sights you found in the changing landscape where you are, it’s really easy to take part…

Cosmic Photo prompt.

Good afternoon, it’s time for your first Cosmic Photo Challenge prompt of the autumn, so I thought we’d go with the obvious theme; Changing seasons.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, see you back here on Monday.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Shades of grey.

Well, that was a very wet weekend, I hope the weather was better where you are. Never mind, it’s time for The Cosmic Photo Challenge to take your mind off the elements for a while, with some; Shades of grey.

Here are some of my recent favourite monochrome shots.

Now let’s see what charcoal tones you captured this week…

Cosmic Photo prompt.

Hi there, it’s Friday, making it time for your weekly prompt on The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

We’re returning to one of our semi-regular themes this week, to take advantage of the reduction in bright colours, before autumn’s golden gown descends; Shades of grey.

The choice is yours, you can either seek out subjects in grey, or post monochrome shots on Monday, both are equally acceptable.

Have a great weekend, see you in a few days.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Ferns and fungi.

Good day to you, wherever you may be, welcome to The Cosmic Photo Challenge on this wet, pre-autumn Monday morning, I hope you had a good weekend.

This week’s theme could vaguely be considered seasonal, depending on your location, as it features those lovers of damp and shady conditions; Ferns and fungi.

I took a walk along the river Yeo on Saturday morning and found the perfect environment for them both to flourish.

Now let’s see what you have to offer us, take up as mushroom as you need…  ;~}

Cosmic Photo prompt.

Good evening, here’s your Friday prompt for The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

On Monday I’d like to see some pictures which illustrate the theme; Ferns and fungi.

I’m hoping one or other or both of these natural wonders is available where most of you are right now, but feel free to plunder your archives, if you need to.

Have a lovely weekend, see you all soon.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Off the beaten track.

Hello, I hope you had a nice break, but now it’s time to get back to work and your first job of the week is The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

Today we’re taking the roads less travelled, by exploring; Off the beaten track.

I took a walk in the woods at Goodleigh, just outside Barnstaple on Saturday afternoon, where I captured these views of the late summer landscape.

What did you find in the out of the way places at the weekend..?
