Cosmic Photo prompt.

Greetings, it’s time for The Cosmic Photo Challenge to provide you with some focus over the weekend, via this week’s prompt.

As of March 1st it is, metrologically speaking, the start of a new season, so it’s time to roll out an annual theme; First signs of Spring.

Let’s see how the year is progressing in your part of the world, now the days are getting longer and the green shoots of new life are appearing.

Have fun exploring nature as it awakens and I’ll catch you back here on Monday.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: The path to…

Good morning, everyone, I hope you are all well, now here’s The Cosmic Photo Challenge to ease you into a new week.

Today’s pictures were inspired by the theme; The path to…

Any and all routes, thoroughfares, highways and byways are eligible, we’re not sticklers for fine details here at the CosPhoChal.

Despite having at least one sunny walk at the weekend, I chose to capture my selection of avenues and alleyways on a misty, muddy morning for a change.

Now it’s time for you to lead us down your chosen path…

Oops, sorry, forgot again. But I’m here now, so let me quickly give you the theme for The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

On Monday, I’d like to see some images of; The path to…

We’re using “path” in its most general sense here, so paths, roads, pavements, passageways, lanes, corridors, any sort of obviously delineated routes are allowed.

Have a great weekend, see you on the other side.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: What’s flowering where you are?

Good morning, welcome to another week and another edition of The Cosmic Photo Challenge, which today is themed around the prompt; What’s flowering where you are?

Despite, or possibly because of, the more or less constant rain we’ve had in the UK since the start of the year, it seems like a lot of plants are flowering early, so here’s a selection of local blooms taken at the weekend.

Now let’s see what floral offerings you have to show us…

Hello and a happy Friday to you all, I’m here to give you your homework, in the form of a prompt for The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

Despite the continuing inclement weather, I’ve noticed quite a few signs of new life sprouting in the fields and hedgerows recently, so let’s have another round of; What’s flowering where you are?

I think that one is about as self-explanatory as they come, so I’ll leave you to it and wish you an enjoyable weekend, see you on Monday.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: After the rain.

Hi, I hope you’re all rested and ready to take part in The Cosmic Photo Challenge this fine Monday morning, following the (slightly late) prompt; After the rain.

It was such an unexpected relief from the more or less continuous downpour we’ve been experiencing lately, that the sunny(ish) weather at the weekend was actually trending on UK social media. I took my pictures on a couple of my daily, rather muddy walks around the countryside, where the sound of running water could be heard almost everywhere, but the sunshine made all the difference.

I include this shot for the creatively stacked tyre Minion in the background

Now let’s see your post-precipitation pictures…

Good morning, sorry I forgot yesterday, but now I’m here to give you your prompt for The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

Here in the UK this morning, there’s a strange alien object glowing in the sky which we haven’t seen since last year. Yes, after 2026’s almost constant precipitation so far, the sun has finally graced us with its presence, so we’re looking at the world; After the rain.

Apologies if that’s a slightly too British theme for you, but you are welcome to delve into your archives to meet the brief if required.

I’ll see you all on Monday, have a great weekend, stay dry.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Other people’s houses.

Good morning, welcome to The Cosmic Photo Challenge on a brisk February Monday, where we have been taking pictures of; Other people’s houses.

The rather prosaic idea of this week’s prompt is to discover in what type of residential surroundings our various contributors reside. It’s interesting to see how different parts of the world approach similar architectural challenges and after all, we all have to live somewhere.

So give us a flavour of what residential communities look like wherever you call home.

I live on a housing estate on the outskirts of Barnstaple, meaning I only need to walk for ten minutes and I’m out in the country, where older buildings intermingle with the new.

Now let’s see what it looks like around your neck of the woods…

Good afternoon, here’s your prompt for The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

This week I’m trying to get an idea of the residential architecture in your various parts of the world, with the cheekily titled; Other people’s houses.

What does it look like where you live? What kind of environment do you inhabit? Villages, towns, cityscapes, housing estates, high rise apartment blocks, trailer parks, gated communities; we have found so many ways to coexist with our fellow humans, so let’s see how folks do it where you are.

Have a great weekend, see you all on Monday.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Minimalism.

Hello there, welcome to The Cosmic Photo Challenge and congratulations on making it through the longest month of the year.

Yes, it’s finally February, I almost feel like I’ve recovered from the flu and we’re restarting with something simple; Minimalism.

I based my pictures on something I’ve used a lot over the past two weeks, but can you work out what I used to make these satisfyingly smooth contours?

What simplistic images do you have for us today..?
