The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Close up/macro.

Good morning, how’s it going on this fine summer Monday?

Time for The Cosmic Photo Challenge to bring some detail into your lives, with this week’s prompt; Close up/macro.

I offer a random selection of items from around the house: a plant pot; some experiments with water and a falling tomato; an eyeball; a crystal covered rock, a handful of peppercorns, some shells and the interior of a twisty drinking straw.

What did you get close to at the weekend?

To get involved with the challenge; check out the Cosmic Photo Prompt each Friday, then post a photo (or photos) on your blog the following Monday, with a pingback link to my Monday post.

Any and all effects, editing, Photoshop, Instagram, morphing, collages, animation, gifs, or whatever other post production techniques you fancy are permitted, (in fact, they’re actively encouraged!) so get creative and turn your photos into artworks for the Cosmic Photo Challenge.

  2. I especially liked that last photo of the splash made by the dropped tomato. Did you put a glass in front of the experiment to protect the camera from the water? Did you use a tripod?

    I’ve got a tripod for my phone camera. It makes me want to start using it.

    1. Actually, I cheated a bit.
      The bowl of water was in the kitchen sink, with my phone propped up in the corner next to it.
      I shot a super slo-mo video of the tomato splashing down, then took a screenshot from that. ;~}
