The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Intentional camera movement.

This week’s edition of The Cosmic Photo Challenge is brought to you by the prompt; Intentional camera movement.

There are many ways in which moving the camera mid-capture can alter the resulting image, so I decided to think outside the box and revisit a couple of techniques I’ve used before.

With the camera attached safely to my windscreen, it was certainly moving in relation to everything outside; while experimenting with mirrors and panoramic settings again was…well, predicably peculiar.

Now it’s time to share your out of focus fun…

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: As the world warms up.

Good morning, on this Monday’s edition of The Cosmic Photo Challenge, we’re having a photographic roundup of how it looks; As the world warms up.

I wasn’t (necessarily) looking for photos of impending climate catastrophe with this week’s theme, although you can, as always, spin the prompt however you like.

I was inspired simply by the weather brightening up over the weekend and, for a couple of hours each day at least, you could actually imagine you felt the promise of summer warmth on your face.

I took a drive up into the hills between Barnstaple and Bideford, the land of the wind turbines and solar farms, where I discovered what happens to that blades in a panoramic shot if it’s taken while the turbine is revolving…

Where did the sunshine take you over the last few days?

Come and join in, it’s so easy to do…

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: ‘Tis the season.

A very happy Monday to you, one and all, from The Cosmic Photo Challenge‘s Christmas grotto of festive images, themed today around the prompt; ‘Tis the season.

For my contribution, here are a few photos of our tree and some illuminated decorations in the dark, with which I did a spot of light painting, inspired by last week’s traffic trails.

How are your holiday preparations coming along, can we have a look..?
