The Cosmic Photo Challenge: The arrival of Spring.

Another Monday, another chance to take part in The Cosmic Photo Challenge, which this week takes its inspiration from the prompt; The arrival of Spring.

Rhonda and I took a stroll round Arlington Court house and gardens yesterday afternoon (please go and check out most of the pictures I took HERE), where the Spring bulbs were in full bloom and there was a definite feeling of regeneration in the air.

How did your search for signs of Spring go..?

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: What’s flowering where you are?

There goes another weekend and here comes yet another Monday, made all the more bearable by The Cosmic Photo Challenge and this week’s theme; What’s flowering where you are?

I admit I was nearly stumped by my own prompt, having been over-optimistic about the number of early blooms to be found. But I took a very blustery walk around the park yesterday and managed to find a few tenacious little flowers (ok, and fungi) braving the wintery conditions.

How is the hardy flora in your neck of the woods? Time for an international roundup of natural beauty…

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Show us your bloomers.

Hi there, I hope your weekend was relaxing and that your Monday is as good as can be expected so far.

This week on The Cosmic Photo Challenge I asked you to provide pictures which satisfy the prompt; Show us your bloomers.

Our garden is hardly in full flower at the moment, most of the perennials have only recently regenerated after their winter rest, but the bugle is already filling the border with purple spikes and the bluebells look good against the yellow acer. I dodged the rain showers on Saturday to capture some tree blossoms and more bluebells in the park, too.

Now let’s see your floral offerings…

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: It’s Spring!

This week on The Cosmic Photo Challenge we’re finally celebrating the arrival of a new season, because; It’s Spring!

I thought I was being hopelessly optimistic when I mentioned “sunshine photos” in Friday’s post, but yesterday was nice enough to sit out in the garden all day. I got out and about while the world was having a Sunday lie-in and captured that unique morning light.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Close up on nature.

This week on The Cosmic Photo Challenge, we’re getting up close and personal with the natural world, following Friday’s prompt; Close up on nature.

I chose to capture some of the more flamboyant examples of local horticulture, along with a busy bumble bee and an impressively antlered but badly coordinated flying beetle which lumbered into the fennel in our garden.

How did your nature trail develop? Share the results with us and join in the fun…

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: My outside space.

This week’s mission on The Cosmic Photo Challenge was for you to capture some images which illustrate the prompt; My outside space.

We only have a small space, but we make the most of it and one of my favourite elements of it isn’t even in our garden. Its the trees that line the back fence, part of the woods which were here before the estate was built; at this time of year with their new foliage at its best, they add a whole new dimension to our extra outdoor room.

Now let’s have a look at your little oasis…
