The Cosmic Photo Challenge: In my warm place.

Hello there, welcome to The Cosmic Photo Challenge, I hope you’re all ok and haven’t been blown away by storm Bert, which wreaked havoc across the UK at the weekend.

It certainly made a fine excuse not to leave the house for a couple of days, so I stayed; In my warm place.

When the weather is horrible and it’s cozy indoors, there’s nothing like curling up with a book and a cup of coffee while listening to good music, or even making some.

So along with catching up on the search for Stephen King’s Dark Tower in the company of Ms Hepburn and Mr Bowie, I composed a new tune to complement the meteorological conditions.

Where did you snuggle up at the weekend..?

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Out in the country.

Hello there, welcome to a bank holiday edition of The Cosmic Photo Challenge, which is inspired by Friday’s prompt; Out in the country.

My trip out to take pictures yesterday wasn’t very well timed, as the weather was just starting to turn (from the glorious sunshine we were treated to all day Saturday) to grey mist and the threat of rain.

Nevertheless, I managed to capture a lot of verdant greenery on the country lanes outside Barnstaple, as the land rises up towards the edge of Exmoor.

And, as a bonus, here’s an effects-laden video I made from a timelapse of my journey home yesterday.

Now let’s see your countryside views…

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: The sky’s the limit.

Hello there, the very best of Mondays to you. Today on The Cosmic Photo Challenge we’re turning our attention upwards again, because this week; The sky’s the limit.

There are a lot of fabulously fluffy cloud formations around at the moment, which have combined rather nicely with a vapour trail in one of my shots. In fact it made such a nice shot, I used it for the cover art on my latest EP*, which you can check out by clicking on the photo in question, or at this link.

What did you see up in the great blue yonder at the weekend?

*BONUS CONTENT

Speaking of new music, here’s another brand spanking new audio visual project I finished just yesterday. I couldn’t begin to guess what musical genre you’d fit this into, but I’ve called it Return Of The Malevolent Seven and it’s a bit of an epic.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge; Indoor freestyle.

Hello there, welcome to a rather unusual edition of The Cosmic Photo Challenge, today themed around the extremely loose prompt; Indoor freestyle.

It was a strange week last week; having tested positive for Covid on Monday morning I was in isolation until yesterday evening, when I finally tested negative, although I am still feeling a bit below par. Which is all the explanation you’re getting for me having deviated slightly on my own challenge.

Since I was trapped in the flat all week, I did what I usually do to amuse myself and made some new musical creations, one of which you can experience right here, accompanied by my…photographic contribution.

The video you see below is made using only a two minute clip of me wandering around the living room and kitchen with my phone, filming anything and everything at peculiar angles, all of which then had layers and layers of effects applied to them and voila!

{Best watched in HD. Contains flashing images}

Normal service will be resumed next week, but in the meantime, let’s see what the more sensible of you produced over the weekend.
