The Cosmic Photo Challenge: A splash of colour.

On By dalecooper57In editing and effects, photography23 Comments

Welcome to the new week and to The Cosmic Photo Challenge, it’s time to find out if pictures can be just as interesting with just; A splash of colour.

I gave four new shots and two old ones the colour splash fingertip erasing treatment and they’re all rather eye-catching.

Now let’s have a look at your colourful creations…

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: One thing inside another.

Once again The Cosmic Photo Challenge is here to kick-start your Monday, with all today’s images inspired by; One thing inside another.

I was very nearly beaten by my own challenge this week, but I managed to crowbar the theme far enough open to cram in these four shots.

A cross inside the ivy
Rings within rings
A reflection in(side) a river
Help!

Did you fare any better in your search for inspiration?

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: More than the sum of its parts.

Hello, welcome to Monday and this week’s edition of The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

Today is all about making an image which is; More than the sum of its parts.

I went for a walk in the sunshine yesterday and came across a cornfield.

Do you ever wonder what might be going on, in amongst all those tightly packed rows of plants…?

What did your weekend add up to?

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Fun in the sun.

Good day to you, wherever you may be, I hope you managed to have Fun in the sun at the weekend, to give you material for The Cosmic Photo Challenge today.

I took a walk around the local funfair, which has been in town for a couple of weeks, to try some experiments with long exposure pictures of the various spinning and undulating rides.

Also, because music is never far away from my weekend itinerary, I used a timelapse video of the fairground to provide a visual accompaniment to one of yesterday’s peculiar sonic adventures.

Now let’s have a look at your fun weekend…

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: I’ll see you in the trees.

Hello there, welcome to this week’s special bank holiday Monday multimedia bonus edition of The Cosmic Photo Challenge, which today is inspired by the prompt; I’ll see you in the trees.

Our run of extraordinarily fine weather in the UK continued right through the weekend, so early yesterday morning I took tranquil walk around Venn Quarry Woods in the already warm summer sunshine.

You, too can enjoy a moment of peace and quiet in this woodland wonderland, complete with relaxing birdsong, via the embedded Instagram player below.

*BONUS CONTENT*

I had quite a musical weekend (what with the release of my new album of original material), including making this glitchy electronica audio-visual piece, incorporating the birds of Venn Quarry Woods on vocals.

I’m sure you have some tree-mendous photos to fit the bill, so why not join in, it couldn’t be easier…

Where did the weekend go?

Oh well, it might be Monday again, but at least that means it’s time for The Cosmic Photo Challenge, which is inspired this week by the prompt; Lighter mornings/longer evenings.

I have a couple each from each end of the day, along with one of me getting legless in the garden yesterday evening.

Mornings…

…and evenings.

Now let’s see what you captured for us this week…
