Congratulations, you made it to the end of another week, so you may now claim your prize: A new prompt on The Cosmic Photo Challenge!

I think it’s about time we let our collective creative inspiration take centre stage once again, so for Monday’s post I’d like to see some more; Art for art’s sake.

For anyone who is new to the challenge, this is just an excuse to muck about with photography a little more than usual, to create something which may be more than the sum of its parts.

So you can use collages, long exposures, composite images, mosaics, editing effects, anything is fair game as long as the original photos are your own. Or you could just photograph some art made by someone else, the choice is yours.

Good morning, welcome to The Cosmic Photo Challenge, I hope your weekend went well and, if you’re in the UK, I hope you’re enjoying the extra day off.

This week we’re turning our camera eyes to the fields and meadows, where we’ve been searching for; Wild flowers.

I took a sunny stroll around the Millennium Green in Rotherfield, East Sussex, where it was difficult to find somewhere that wasn’t covered in drifts of colour.

Well what do you know, it’s yet another three day bank holiday weekend here in the UK and the weather is still very pleasant. That should make for a nice sunny edition of The Cosmic Photo Challenge to start the week, when the subject will be; Wild flowers.

At this time of year there is a huge variety of flowering plants in the fields and hedgerows, so get out in the countryside and hunt down some blooms for Monday’s post.

Hello there, welcome to another edition of The Cosmic Photo Challenge, this time themed around the prompt; By the water.

As it happens, I went to a folk festival at a pub next to a canal at the weekend, meaning that technically all my photos are by the water; so I’ve included some which don’t immediately suggest a waterside connection.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Community.

Welcome to Monday, let’s get on with The Cosmic Photo Challenge, which this week is concerned with; Community.

It seems I might have picked the wrong day to go into town taking photos, as the weather was so gorgeous, everyone was at the beach.

However, I did capture some historical displays connected to the VE80 celebrations, along with a few shots from a local pub, which hosts a regular open mic/jam session on Sunday afternoons.

There’s also an old picture from the community of my youth, taken on New Year’s Eve, sometime in the ’90s.

I’m on the left, second from the front.
