Cosmic Photo prompt.

Hello everybody, I hope your Saturday is going well so far. It’s time I gave you a hint as to where The Cosmic Photo Challenge is taking us this week and I’ve decided on a simple one with plenty of scope; Out in the country.

By the way, welcome to all the recent new participants in our little group, it’s really good to have you aboard, I’m pleased the challenges piqued your interest and I’ll do my best to keep them interesting.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and I’ll see y’all on Monday.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Straight lines.

For this week’s theme on The Cosmic Photo Challenge I asked you to capture images which featured; Straight lines.

Once you start looking, the straight edges and outlines are all around you, so I thought I’d go for the mundane with an artistic twist.

Now it’s your turn to demonstrate some linear precision, let’s see whatcha got…

Cosmic Photo prompt.

After last week’s unsteady theme, The Cosmic Photo Challenge is back in sharp focus this week, with the prompt; Straight lines.

Simple and to the point, or maybe not, you decide.

Have a great weekend, see you on Monday.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Intentional camera movement.

This week’s edition of The Cosmic Photo Challenge is brought to you by the prompt; Intentional camera movement.

There are many ways in which moving the camera mid-capture can alter the resulting image, so I decided to think outside the box and revisit a couple of techniques I’ve used before.

With the camera attached safely to my windscreen, it was certainly moving in relation to everything outside; while experimenting with mirrors and panoramic settings again was…well, predicably peculiar.

Now it’s time to share your out of focus fun…

Cosmic Photo prompt.

For this week’s theme on The Cosmic Photo Challenge we’re going to get all blurry, with a prompt inspired by one of our occasional contributors, David Meredith, who gets some great effects with; Intentional camera movement (ICM).

So let’s get all experimental this weekend and no matter what the results, post them back here for the big reveal.

Have fun and I’ll see you on Monday.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Up, down and sideways.

Monday already and time once again for The Cosmic Photo Challenge, which this week shifts its focus; Up, down and sideways.

My basic idea of standing on one spot and taking three photos from different angles became considerably more involved than anticipated, as I’d chosen the large road bridge across the river Taw as my subject and hadn’t taken town planning into account.

From where I parked, the only way to take photos from on top of the bridge and from underneath it required a walk of about two miles.

Looking down from the bridge into the empty estuary at low tide…

…looking up at it from the riverbank below

…and taking a sideways glance at the scenery on the way.

What did you see on your weekend wanderings?

Cosmic Photo prompt.

So, time for another rather late and randomly selected theme on The Cosmic Photo Challenge, which this week popped into my head as; Up, down and sideways.

The way I’m going to interpret this one, in case you need some inspiration, is picking one particular spot and taking three shots in the appropriate directions. But it’s entirely up to you which way you choose to go with the prompt, as always.

Have a great weekend, see you on Monday.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: From an interesting angle.

Welcome to The Cosmic Photo Challenge, I hope you had an enjoyable weekend, mine seems to have flown by without me noticing.

A couple of weeks ago Audrey was decluttering her bedroom and I snagged a selfie stick she’d never used, because it might come in useful and who doesn’t want another gadget?

It would come in very useful, for instance, if you wanted to take photos; From an interesting angle, which just happens to be this week’s prompt.

So I went for a very pleasant walk around Rock Park in the winter sunshine and did a one man photo shoot.

What kind of tangent did you find yourself on this week?

It’s so easy to join in, just follow these simple steps…

Cosmic Photo prompt.

I really must set myself a reminder for The Cosmic Photo Challenge prompt, Friday flies past so quickly I forget all about it.

Anyway, here I am with a nicely broad theme for you to get your teeth into; From an interesting angle.

Yes, I know we’ve used it before a few times, but it provides such a wide range of subject matter and often results in some very creative images.

So we’ll all reconvene on Monday for the big show and tell, have a great weekend.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: As night falls.

This week’s mission on The Cosmic Photo Challenge, assuming you’ve chosen to accept it, was to provide images for the prompt; As night falls.

{I will admit up front that at least one of the long exposures below was taken in the dark before dawn, not as night *fell* per se, but the spirit of the theme still holds…that’s my thinking, anyway}

Did you accomplish your mission? Right, time for your debriefing, let’s see those photos…
