The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Lights, camera, Christmas!

Good morning, welcome to the annual round up of festive illuminations on The Cosmic Photo Challenge, brought to you by the prompt; Lights, camera, Christmas!

I took a chilly, early evening stroll round Barnstaple town on Saturday to capture my yuletide sparkle-fest; with a couple of extra snaps I took whilst waiting to leave my road, hemmed in as I was by the local Round Table’s Santa sleigh.

Now let’s see what’s lighting up your world at the moment…

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Festive illuminations.

Welcome back from the weekend, hopefully you’re all undamaged by the extremely unfriendly weather, just in time for The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

This week’s theme recognises the oncoming seasonal holidays with a round up of your local; Festive illuminations.

Luckily, storm Darragh had abated for long enough last night, for me to take a chilly walk round town and check out some of this year’s decorations.

What enlightening delights did you capture for us this week..?

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Festive illuminations.

We’re finally entering the home straight of 2023, with only a week of work to go until the holidays, but before that there’s the small matter of The Cosmic Photo Challenge to attend to.

This week the theme is; Festive illuminations.

See if you can spot the not-so-traditional ornament on our tree (see video for an extra hint), which I made out of a piece of scrap aluminium from work.

Now let’s see your enlightened offerings…

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Lights, camera, Christmas!

This week’s theme on The Cosmic Photo Challenge is all about the start of the month’s festivities, namely the tradition of yuletide illuminations, so it’s; Lights, camera, Christmas!

I took a walk round Barnstaple yesterday evening, after all the shoppers had retired for the night, to capture the first of the seasonal displays.

Oh, and here’s our tree, which Rhonda spent the afternoon decorating in her usual classic style.

How’s it starting to look in your part of the world, heading towards the holiday season?
