Cosmic Photo prompt.

Good afternoon, the end of the week is in sight and it’s time to set your homework for The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

This week I’m gambling with the Cosmic Challenge Weather Jinx by setting the theme as; At the shoreline.

Fingers crossed for a nice day tomorrow, because it’s horrible outside right now. I hope you have a great weekend and I’ll catch you all again on Monday.

Bye for now.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Old buildings.

Good morning, welcome to another week, bringing the ever reliable Monday highlight of The Cosmic Photo Challenge to brighten your day.

This week’s theme was simple and to the point, requiring you to provide pictures of; Old buildings.

I was in Sussex at the weekend and I took a walk around the village of Rotherfield, with its distinctive red brick and tile fronted houses. The church dates back to 1060 and there is a yew tree in the graveyard which is purported to be a thousand years older than that and is now supported by props and chains.

I also paid a visit to my all time favourite pub, my old local in Crowborough, The Wheatsheaf, first licensed as a public house in 1853 and still going strong.

So, over to you, what aging architectural offerings do you have for us..?

Cosmic Photo prompt.

Hello and a very happy Valentine’s Day to you all, I hope you get what (or who) you wish for, but for now it’s time to set the theme for The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

This week I’d like to see pictures which illustrate the prompt; Old buildings.

Nothing to explain there, I don’t think, so I look forward to seeing some aged architecture on Monday. Have a great weekend, see you again soon.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: From ground level.

Hello all, how’s your Monday going so far? Well it’s about to get better, because it’s time for The Cosmic Photo Challenge to lift the start of your week; From ground level.

I took a sunny morning stroll along the Tarka Trail at Wrafton yesterday and captured the landscape from a very low elevation for a change.

What did you get up to, getting down at the weekend..?

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Black and white.

Hi there, I hope you had a good weekend, now let’s see what you have to offer The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

This week the prompt was nice and straightforward, leaving the subject up to you, as long as your pictures are in; Black and white.

I took a walk around the town and captured some everyday scenes in shades of grey.

What did you find for this monochromatic Monday..?

Cosmic Photo prompt.

Good evening, happy Friday, it’s time for your weekly prompt from The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

This week we’re going out searching for subjects that look good in; Black and white.

There, couldn’t be much simpler than that, have a great weekend and we’ll all meet back here on Monday, cheerio.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Compass points.

Hi there, today on The Cosmic Photo Challenge we’re seeing things from all four; Compass points.

The concept is simple: four photos, each taken from (or towards) one of the cardinal points of the compass, North, South, East and West.

I was visiting friends in Sussex at the weekend, so I took a walk up onto Ashdown Forest, home of Winnie The Pooh, where I captured these four shots…

North
East
South
West

…and this bonus panorama, which nearly covers all four.

How did your all-round mission go this week..?

Cosmic Photo prompt.

Friday again, so it’s theme time on The Cosmic Photo Challenge, which today takes the form of the prompt; Compass points.

I’d like four shots each this week, please, one from each of the cardinal points of the compass; North, South, East and West.

The photos can be in as many different locations as you like, as long as there is one facing in each of the four directions.

Got that? Excellent, I knew you were a clever bunch.  ;~}

Have a great weekend, see you all here on Monday.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: From underneath.

Good morning, welcome to another edition of The Cosmic Photo Challenge, this week featuring pictures based on the prompt; From underneath.

I took a walk down the Tarka Trail from Fremington Quay on Saturday, capturing views from beneath the bridge, electricity poles and various vegetation.

I also used a short video clip I shot of the electrical poles, to make my own small tribute to visionary filmmaker, artist, musician and all round creative genius, David Lynch, who sadly passed away last week.

What made you look up over the weekend..?
