Cosmic Photo prompt.

Good morning, I hope your weekend is going well. I’ve just stopped by to give you your prompt for this week’s Cosmic Photo Challenge.

I’m going with something quite broad today, even though it only means one thing here at the moment, as I know we’re not all on the same page, seasonally speaking; A change in the weather.

Have fun, see you on Monday.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Sunsets.

For this week’s theme on The Cosmic Photo Challenge, we’re taking in the beauty of; Sunsets.

I captured my shots on exactly the same spot, at more or less the same time on Saturday and Sunday evening. I’ve taken some artistic liberties with last night’s, because why not?

Now let’s see your sundowners.

Cosmic Photo prompt.

As Autumn is now officially upon us (with the usual caveats to our friends in southern parts), I’ve decided this week’s Cosmic Photo Challenge is to be themed around the season of; Sunsets.

The recent evening skies have started to show some fine colours, so fingers crossed we’ll all be in for a treat in Monday’s post.

Have a great weekend, everyone, happy snapping.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: In memory.

On today’s edition of The Cosmic Photo Challenge we are theming our images around the prompt; In memory.

As today is the day we say farewell to the only monarch most of us in the UK have ever known, it seems appropriate to celebrate the art of the monumental stonemason. Here are some shots I took in a local Barnstaple churchyard yesterday, during a brief break from an all day, last draft editing marathon on my submission for an upcoming short story anthology. (That sentence would be too long to make my editor’s cut, by the way)

And no, you’re right, I just cannot resist a wonky headstone. ;~}

What images did your weekend of photographic remembrance elicit?

Cosmic Photo prompt.

This week we’re bowing to the weight of history on The Cosmic Photo Challenge, as we reach the end of an era.

Monday’s post coincides with the state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, so over the weekend I’d like you to capture images which fit the prompt; In memory.

Enjoy your time off, see you on the other side.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: As summer fades.

I was fully expecting a weekend of dreary weather, as per the forecast, hence the theme on The Cosmic Photo Challenge this week being based on the prompt; As summer fades.

But nature confounded satellite technology once again, with very pleasant weather on both days, including this fabulous Exmoor sunrise, from early yesterday morning after taking Rhonda to work.

Maybe there’s hope for summer, yet.

How did your mission to capture the changing seasons go?

Cosmic Photo prompt.

For this week’s theme on The Cosmic Photo Challenge I’d like to see some photos to illustrate the prompt; As summer fades.

Get out and capture (or search the archives, those of you below the equator) a snapshot of nature’s latest transformation and we’ll meet back here on Monday to compare notes, ok?

Have a great weekend.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: On the road.

I have a confession to make; when I set the prompt for this week’s Cosmic Photo Challenge, I already knew I was going to be; On the road.

I returned our American visitor to the airport, very early on Saturday morning, after which I was hoping to catch some impressive sunrise shots on the way home, but it was not to be.

The day dawned grey and foggy, so I had to improvise, eventually deciding to experiment with long exposures of traffic on the motorway.

I took several shots from a footbridge over the M4 and the rest were captured with my phone safely attached to a mount on the windscreen (the unintentional blurring of the backgrounds is due to vibration) but possibly still don’t try this at home. ;~}

Where did your weekend road trip take you..?

Cosmic Photo prompt.

This week on The Cosmic Photo Challenge I’m requesting that you provide images to accompany the prompt; On the road.

As ever, you can interpret that however you like and I look forward to seeing what you come up with for Monday’s post.

Have a great weekend, catch you later.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: In the evening.

Welcome to a bank holiday Monday edition of The Cosmic Photo Challenge, inspired by the prompt; In the evening.

I captured my twilight images on the way to collect Rhonda from work, including a brief visit to the Millennium Green at Landkey, just before 7 last night.

How did you fare in your search for some enchanted evening..?
