The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Morning light.

Good Monday morning to you, I hope you had a nice weekend, now let’s get to the important business of The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

This week we’re all about that magical time of day when you can enjoy; Morning light.

I thought we were in for a grey day yesterday, but by 8 o’clock the sun was already burning off the clouds and I went for a stroll in the country lanes just outside Barnstaple.

How was your early start, did you capture the dawn for us?

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Looking for shade.

Good morning, everyone, welcome to another week and to yet another Monday edition of The Cosmic Photo Challenge, where this week we’re; Looking for shade.

I thought I was going to be stumped by the weather again, because it was overcast all day Saturday and, despite the oppressive heat, it was still very grey yesterday morning. But by lunchtime the sun had burned off all the clouds, so I went for a stroll along the river Yeo.

There really is nothing like the cool, dappled shade beneath trees on a riverbank.

One enterprising family has taken the design concept of “borrowed landscape” to its logical conclusion, by extending the garden right down to the water’s edge from their overhanging deck.

I’m very envious.

Further down the river there’s a deep pool where it turns a corner, making a great place for a rope swing over the water.

Where did you go to cool off at the weekend?

Cosmic Photo prompt.

Hello there, how’s it going?

Time once again to give you your inspiration for The Cosmic Photo Challenge, whilst crossing my fingers that I don’t prompt the Cosmic Weather Jinx instead.

As we’ve been promised a scorching hot weekend, we’re going to spend some time; Looking for shade.

It doesn’t have to be hot where you are to take part, of course, you can interpret the challenge however you like.

So I’ll see you all back here on Monday for our weekly show and tell session, have a great weekend.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Close up/macro.

Good morning, how’s it going on this fine summer Monday?

Time for The Cosmic Photo Challenge to bring some detail into your lives, with this week’s prompt; Close up/macro.

I offer a random selection of items from around the house: a plant pot; some experiments with water and a falling tomato; an eyeball; a crystal covered rock, a handful of peppercorns, some shells and the interior of a twisty drinking straw.

What did you get close to at the weekend?

So let’s see some up close and personal shots for Monday’s post, however you wish to interpret that.

Have a great weekend, see y’all soon.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: At the coast.

Hello there, I hope you had a good weekend, now let’s get to The Cosmic Photo Challenge for today.

Friday’s prompt was; At the coast, so I took an early morning stroll down Instow beach, before the holidaying hordes arrived.

What coastal views did you capture to inspire us this week..?

The weekend is here and The Cosmic Photo Challenge beckons, with the theme of; At the coast.

Pretty self-explanatory, I think, so head for the beach or comb your archives for some ocean-adjacent images to brighten Monday’s post.

Have a great weekend, see y’all soon.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: What’s flowering where you are?

Hello, welcome to Monday and this week’s edition of The Cosmic Photo Challenge, which is based on the prompt; What’s flowering where you are?

I captured all my shots in our garden, which is starting to look quite colourful.

How did your floral safari go at the weekend..?
