The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Three shots from one spot.

Hi there, welcome to The Cosmic Photo Challenge, which this week has the theme; Three shots from one spot.

I have two groups of three, all taken at Rotherfield Carnival over the weekend, capturing the procession and some long exposures of fireworks.

Now it’s time to see what your triplets look like…

Cosmic Photo prompt.

Good evening, here’s your prompt for The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

Today I’m returning to a concept we’ve used with some success before; Three shots from one spot.

In case you haven’t seen this one; all you have to do is pick a place to stand (or sit, kneel, lie, headstand, etc) and capture all three of your images from that one place. You have the full 360° in every direction, just as long as your feet don’t move from that spot (more or less).

Ok, hope that’s clear, have a great weekend.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Light a fire.

For this week’s foray into flammable photography, The Cosmic Photo Challenge is based on the prompt; Light a fire.

I tried out some long exposures, giving this gently crackling fire drum the look of a ferocious blast furnace (see final picture for original fire with no effects and guitarist for scale)

Were the fires of creativity burning for you this week? Let’s see what you have to share with us…

Time for another nudge towards inspiration, with this week’s prompt on The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

The nights really are drawing in earlier now, so I think it’s time to; Light a fire.

Flames, candles, bonfires, lighters, matches, paraffin lamps, even tiki torches; all these and more are welcome in our broad church of photography, so let’s illuminate Monday’s post with combustible creativity.

Have a great weekend, stay warm, stay safe, see y’all Monday.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Landscapes.

Hello there, I hope you had a good weekend, now let’s get to today’s big reveal on The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

This week we’re taking the long view, with the theme of; Landscapes.

Here is a selection of open spaces, taken in the last couple of weeks, in Devon, Wiltshire and Sussex. (Note the odd effect panoramic images have on moving turbines)

Now let’s see your Monday morning offerings…

The Cosmic Photo Challenge:

Good morning, I hope you had a nice weekend, let’s get straight to this week’s Cosmic Photo Challenge and see what you came up with for the prompt; The nights are drawing in.

Mine are all on-the-road shots today, taken at the tail ends of Thursday and Friday afternoon. (Using a windscreen mounted phone holder or sitting in traffic jams, safety fans)

What dusky images did you capture for us this week..?

Cosmic Photo prompt.

This week on The Cosmic Photo Challenge, we’re reflecting on the fact that; The nights are drawing in.

Yes, it’s darker at both ends of the day again and night is falling sooner, so let’s take advantage of that and bring the dusky light of early evening to Monday’s post.

Have a great weekend, everyone, see y’all on the other side.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Abstraction.

Hi there, welcome back to The Cosmic Photo Challenge, which this week concentrates on the obscure, with the prompt; Abstraction.

I have four pictures to offer today, one created from overlapping images of components I made at work and three from photos of my tablet sitting on a garden chair (no, really), for no reason whatsoever.

What did you do to fit the brief this week..?

Hello, welcome back to The Cosmic Photo Challenge, after a couple of weeks off, here’s your prompt for today; Abstraction.

Yes, we’re returning with a very broad theme, so feel free to be as obscure as you like with your images on Monday.

Have a great weekend, see y’all soon.
