Cosmic Photo prompt.

Happy Saturday, everyone, I’m here to give you your theme for this week’s edition of The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

Since we’re allegedly well into Spring now, I thought it was about time we all looked around to see what is; In bloom.

There you are, a nice and simple prompt to inspire you over the weekend, I’ll see you all on Monday.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: From an interesting angle.

This week on The Cosmic Photo Challenge, we’re all taking photos; From an interesting angle, leaving everything else about the pictures entirely up to you.

I decided to capture yesterday’s late afternoon sun over the river Taw from some unusual perspectives, where a considerate crow took off for me at just the right time…

Now it’s your chance to impress us with your own spin on this week’s theme…

Oops, sorry, almost forgot to post your prompt for The Cosmic Photo Challenge this week, but since I’m here, let’s all once again take pictures; From an interesting angle.

That’s it, you’re free to choose absolutely any subject matter at all, just as long as your viewpoint is an unusual or surprising one.

Have a great weekend and I’ll see the results of your creative labours on Monday.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: As the world warms up.

Good morning, on this Monday’s edition of The Cosmic Photo Challenge, we’re having a photographic roundup of how it looks; As the world warms up.

I wasn’t (necessarily) looking for photos of impending climate catastrophe with this week’s theme, although you can, as always, spin the prompt however you like.

I was inspired simply by the weather brightening up over the weekend and, for a couple of hours each day at least, you could actually imagine you felt the promise of summer warmth on your face.

I took a drive up into the hills between Barnstaple and Bideford, the land of the wind turbines and solar farms, where I discovered what happens to that blades in a panoramic shot if it’s taken while the turbine is revolving…

Where did the sunshine take you over the last few days?

Come and join in, it’s so easy to do…

Cosmic Photo prompt.

For this week’s theme on The Cosmic Photo Challenge, I’d like you to show us how it feels; As the world warms up.

We appear to be in for a spot of decent weather over the next few days, so it would be a waste not to get out in the sunshine and capture springtime as it really gets into its stride.

Fingers crossed that the elements are being kind where you are, too, I look forward to seeing how the seasons are developing in your part of the world.

Have a great weekend and we’ll meet back here on Monday to compare photographic notes.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Art from nature.

Yes, I’m afraid it’s Monday again, but don’t let the start of the week get you down, The Cosmic Photo Challenge is here to brighten your day.

This week the prompt gives free reign for your creative imagination to take flight, as we consider the possibilities of; Art from nature.

I chose the literal path and made three artistic images from recent photos, since the weather refused to cooperate with outdoor photographic pursuits over the weekend.

The first of two reimaginings of the Devon countryside is especially effective if you are viewing it on a phone or tablet, as it comprises multiple landscapes from different angles…

…and the second is a kind of photographic trompe l’oeil, combining elements of four different locations to create the illusion of a fifth.

Now let’s see your artistic contributions for the week, it’s easy, come and join in…

Cosmic Photo prompt.

Yes, it’s the weekend and time for me to provide you with a prod in the direction of inspiration for The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

It looks like there’s a possibility of half-decent weather for the next couple of days, so I’m going to gamble on getting out in the sunshine to make some; Art from nature.

So, whether you’re capturing naturally occurring patterns and textures, or finding natural images to muck about with, the world is your bivalve mollusc, photographically and artistically speaking.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: First hints of Spring.

Good morning, I hope you all had a lovely weekend and are as keen as I am to see what delights await us in this week’s edition of The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

I set the prompt with the vague idea of capturing some brightly nodding daffodils or maybe some wild flowers in the hedgerow, but I ended up going with more of a big picture view of; First hints of Spring.

Apart from the magnolia starting to bloom outside our house, these were all taken on the edge of Exmoor on Saturday afternoon, when you could actually feel warmth from the sunshine for a change.

How is springtime progressing in your part of the world, did you find something nice to show us..?

Cosmic Photo prompt.

Hello and welcome to another Saturday prompt for The Cosmic Photo Challenge, this time following the theme of; First hints of Spring.

I’m aware that might not be an easy one for some of you, depending on your latitude, but if you can spot any indication that winter is on the way out, capture it for Monday’s post.

Try to stay warm, have a lovely weekend and I’ll see you on the other side.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Cold and bright.

The weekend weather actually cooperated with my mission to take pictures for The Cosmic Photo Challenge yesterday, allowing me to take a bracing walk along the beach at Saunton Sands for the prompt; Cold and bright.

Where did your trip into the cold blue yonder take you this week?
