Cosmic Photo prompt.

Hello, good evening and welcome to this week’s prompt for The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

Now it feels like the slightest possibility of Spring might conceivably be just around the next couple of corners, it’s nearly the last chance to capture; Bare trees.

I love a good tree silhouette, bare or otherwise, so I’ll enjoy this one, I hope you have a good weekend searching for some defoliated inspiration, too.

See you all on Monday.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Water, water everywhere.

Here we are again, meeting The Cosmic Photo Challenge on a Monday morning, after spending the weekend capturing; Water, water everywhere.

It wasn’t too much of a challenge for me, as I completely failed to avoid the rain on my walk round the local country lanes yesterday.

How did your photographic treasure hunt go?

I’m going for a universal theme this week, since we’ve had rather a lot of it round here recently; Water, water everywhere.

I apologize if you live in an arid desert, hopefully there’s an oasis nearby.

Have a great weekend, see you for a waterlogged Monday.

Time once again for The Cosmic Photo Challenge to give you some inspiration for the weekend’s photographic adventures.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Shades of grey.

That’s another wet weekend done and dusted and The Cosmic Photo Challenge is here to continue the theme with; Shades of grey.

I was sitting in the shed listening to the rain on Saturday when something alighted (heavily) on the roof. I poked my camera over the door frame and… Oops, one startled pigeon.

Removing the colours really focuses in on the shape and form of things

And there aren’t too many things greyer than the moon.

What do you have to offer this monochrome Monday..?

Cosmic Photo prompt.

Good evening, here’s your prompt for The Cosmic Photo Challenge this week.

It’s looking like it’s going to be a pretty grey weekend here, so I’ll make the best of it by using one of our semi-regular themes; Shades of grey.

Have a great weekend and I’ll see you all back here on Monday.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Corrosion and decay.

Hello, could I just interrupt your Monday for a minute to talk about The Cosmic Photo Challenge?

This week our prompt is; Corrosion and decay.

There’s a strange beauty in corruption and demolition, so I rather enjoyed this challenge. I hope you also found it engaging to eschew conventional beauty for a while and rough it for the sake of photography.

It’s nice to see more new people taking part in the challenges recently, so if you’re one of them, hello. Now let’s see what you came up with this week…

Cosmic Photo prompt.

Hi there, I hope this Friday finds you all well and ready for The Cosmic Photo Challenge to provide you with your weekend homework.

This week’s prompt is a bit of a rotter, because we’re going to be capturing; Corrosion and decay.

So you can spend the next couple of days seeking out death, deterioration and destruction for Monday’s big reveal.

Have a great weekend, whatever else you’re up to and I’ll see y’all on t’other side.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: What’s flowering where you are?

There goes another weekend and here comes yet another Monday, made all the more bearable by The Cosmic Photo Challenge and this week’s theme; What’s flowering where you are?

I admit I was nearly stumped by my own prompt, having been over-optimistic about the number of early blooms to be found. But I took a very blustery walk around the park yesterday and managed to find a few tenacious little flowers (ok, and fungi) braving the wintery conditions.

How is the hardy flora in your neck of the woods? Time for an international roundup of natural beauty…

Cosmic Photo prompt.

Good evening fellow snappers, congratulations on making it to another Friday and The Cosmic Photo Challenge prompt for this week.

I had an interesting idea, how about a twist on the generic seasonal theme and level the playing field for our global membership; What’s flowering where you are?

So this weekend, get out in the winter (or summer) sunshine and capture some indigenous local flora for Monday’s show and tell.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Unnatural patterns.

Good morning, welcome to Monday and The Cosmic Photo Challenge, which this week is gently prompted by the suggestion that you seek out; Unnatural patterns.

I was going to go out looking for man-made designs at the weekend, but in the end I kept my creative efforts inside, as it was grey, drizzly and freezing outdoors. I didn’t have anything specific in mind so I waited to see what would come to me.

Inspiration strikes in odd places and several of my shots were the result of me washing the dishes, another is one of Rhonda’s recently crocheted blankets and the string ceiling lampshade I’ve featured before was given a makeover with some surreal mucking about.

Now let’s see what results your search for design-inspired images produced…
