Cosmic Photo prompt.

Good evening, here’s your prompt for The Cosmic Photo Challenge, carrying on the recent theme of getting out into the sunshine to commune with nature; Waterways.

Rivers, streams, seas, lakes, lochs, oceans, all are fair game for this week’s challenge, so bring us some watery images for Monday’s post.

Have a great weekend, see y’all soon.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: In the evening.

Hi there, I hope you had a pleasant weekend, but now it’s Monday again and time for The Cosmic Photo Challenge, which today is based on the prompt; In the evening.

I seem to be the only person in the UK who didn’t see the Northern Lights on Friday or Saturday night, which was rather poor timing. I ended up capturing the end of the weekend down by the river, along with some long exposure shots of passing cars.

Now let’s see your dusky offerings, did any of you see the aurora..?

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Out in the country.

Hello there, welcome to a bank holiday edition of The Cosmic Photo Challenge, which is inspired by Friday’s prompt; Out in the country.

My trip out to take pictures yesterday wasn’t very well timed, as the weather was just starting to turn (from the glorious sunshine we were treated to all day Saturday) to grey mist and the threat of rain.

Nevertheless, I managed to capture a lot of verdant greenery on the country lanes outside Barnstaple, as the land rises up towards the edge of Exmoor.

And, as a bonus, here’s an effects-laden video I made from a timelapse of my journey home yesterday.

Now let’s see your countryside views…

Good evening to you, I hope you’ve had a good week and your creative apparatus is firing on all cylinders, because it’s time to find out what the theme is on The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

Today I think I’ll give us all a very broad excuse to get some exercise, by going; Out in the country.

Fingers crossed for good weather, have a great weekend, see you on Monday.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Distortion.

Good morning, welcome to Monday, it’s time to indulge in some artistic mucking about in the name of The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

This week we’re eschewing pin-sharp perfection for a bit of; Distortion.

Friday’s choice of theme was inspired by this view through my rainy windscreen…

…which in turn inspired some self portraits through rippled glass and a few digitally distorted shots of the garden.

Where did the prompt take you this week?

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: In the canopy.

Good morning to you, wherever you may be, I hope your weekend went well and you’re ready for The Cosmic Photo Challenge, which today is all about the trees. This week we’re featuring foliage photos, finding our inspiration; In the canopy.

It was a gloriously sunny weekend, so yesterday I dragged myself away from a cold cider in the garden long enough for a walk in the local woods. Wild garlic was in full bloom, carpeting the ground in dappled shade from vivid green beech and sycamore trees, the sound of a stream completing the peaceful scene perfectly.

I also took a few more of my “experimental” vertical panoramas, capturing the trees growing behind me arching overhead, which makes for an interesting perspective.

Now let’s see what leafy delights you have to show us…

Is it Friday again already? Well that means it’s time for your prompt on The Cosmic Photo Challenge, hooray!

It pleases me greatly to see the trees coming back into leaf over the last few days, so for this week’s theme we’re going up; In the canopy.

So let’s see some leafy loveliness from you in Monday’s post, to brighten up the start of the week.

Have a great weekend, see y’all soon.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge; Street photography.

Good morning, welcome to the vibrant slice of life that is The Cosmic Photo Challenge, which today has the theme; Street photography.

Here are some views on and around the high street in Barnstaple yesterday.

Now let’s have a look at your candid captures from the weekend…
