Cosmic Photo prompt.

Good evening, I hope you’ve all had a pleasant week, I’ve just popped in to give you your prompt for The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

For Monday’s post I’d like to see images reflecting the theme; I can see for miles.

So show us your panoramas, vistas and landscapes to start the week. In the meantime, have a great weekend and I’ll see y’all soon.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Autumn colour.

Once again we find ourselves at the start of the week, but never fear, The Cosmic Photo Challenge is here to brighten your day with the theme; Autumn colour.

Sadly, none of the weekend was very bright, but on Saturday I managed to dodge the rain and capture some dramatic shots around Valley of the Rocks, on the southwest coast path near Lynton.

What autumnal images do you have for us today..?

Cosmic Photo prompt.

Hello, here’s your slightly tardy prompt for The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

This week we’ll be capturing images which follow the seasonal theme of; Autumn colour.

Yes, it’s that time again, the trees are changing and the days are shortening, so get out there and find us some autumnal loveliness for Monday’s post.

Have a great weekend, see you all again soon.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Look to the skies.

Good morning, it’s time for The Cosmic Photo Challenge and this week’s theme; Look to the skies.

I seem to remember the last time we had this prompt was when the Northern Lights were visible across large parts of the UK and I completely failed to see any. Well over the weekend those two events coincided once again and once again I failed to see the slightest flicker.

Still, there have been some very fine skyscapes elsewhere recently, including a nice moody shot from Friday evening and one of a reflected wind turbine which is almost all sky.

What did you see when you looked up at the weekend..?

Cosmic Photo prompt.

Good morning, apologies for the lateness of your prompt this week on The Cosmic Photo Challenge, but better late than never.

For Monday’s post I’d like to see some images which follow the semi-regular theme of; Look to the skies.

Autumn can make for some spectacular sights overhead, so capture what you can and we’ll all meet back here in a couple of days, have a great weekend.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Three shots from one spot.

Hi there, welcome to The Cosmic Photo Challenge, which this week has the theme; Three shots from one spot.

I have two groups of three, all taken at Rotherfield Carnival over the weekend, capturing the procession and some long exposures of fireworks.

Now it’s time to see what your triplets look like…

Cosmic Photo prompt.

Good evening, here’s your prompt for The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

Today I’m returning to a concept we’ve used with some success before; Three shots from one spot.

In case you haven’t seen this one; all you have to do is pick a place to stand (or sit, kneel, lie, headstand, etc) and capture all three of your images from that one place. You have the full 360° in every direction, just as long as your feet don’t move from that spot (more or less).

Ok, hope that’s clear, have a great weekend.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Light a fire.

For this week’s foray into flammable photography, The Cosmic Photo Challenge is based on the prompt; Light a fire.

I tried out some long exposures, giving this gently crackling fire drum the look of a ferocious blast furnace (see final picture for original fire with no effects and guitarist for scale)

Were the fires of creativity burning for you this week? Let’s see what you have to share with us…

Cosmic Photo prompt.

Time for another nudge towards inspiration, with this week’s prompt on The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

The nights really are drawing in earlier now, so I think it’s time to; Light a fire.

Flames, candles, bonfires, lighters, matches, paraffin lamps, even tiki torches; all these and more are welcome in our broad church of photography, so let’s illuminate Monday’s post with combustible creativity.

Have a great weekend, stay warm, stay safe, see y’all Monday.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Landscapes.

Hello there, I hope you had a good weekend, now let’s get to today’s big reveal on The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

This week we’re taking the long view, with the theme of; Landscapes.

Here is a selection of open spaces, taken in the last couple of weeks, in Devon, Wiltshire and Sussex. (Note the odd effect panoramic images have on moving turbines)

Now let’s see your Monday morning offerings…
