The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Lighter mornings/longer evenings.

Where did the weekend go?

Oh well, it might be Monday again, but at least that means it’s time for The Cosmic Photo Challenge, which is inspired this week by the prompt; Lighter mornings/longer evenings.

I have a couple each from each end of the day, along with one of me getting legless in the garden yesterday evening.

Mornings…

…and evenings.

Now let’s see what you captured for us this week…

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: An Easter walk.

Hello there, I hope you all enjoyed your weekend, I’m looking forward to your contributions for The Cosmic Photo Challenge, based on the prompt; An Easter walk.

I went for a pleasant stroll in the woods just a few minutes from home and followed the river through drifts of wild garlic, celandine and wood anemones.

Now you can show us the scenery on your Easter walk…

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: It’s Spring!

This week on The Cosmic Photo Challenge we’re finally celebrating the arrival of a new season, because; It’s Spring!

I thought I was being hopelessly optimistic when I mentioned “sunshine photos” in Friday’s post, but yesterday was nice enough to sit out in the garden all day. I got out and about while the world was having a Sunday lie-in and captured that unique morning light.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: One winter’s morning.

For today on The Cosmic Photo Challenge, I asked you to provide images to convey the prompt; One winter’s morning.

I was too late to capture the start of the day on Saturday, despite being up at 6 to take Rhonda to work, as I always avoid the morning rush at Tesco by doing the weekly shop on the way home. But the forecast for Sunday was dry and cold again, so I reckoned I could risk the wait.

Anyway, yesterday morning I watched the sky lighten and as soon as the first strands of orange clouds began to appear, I jumped in the car and drove out into the countryside around Landkey, just outside Barnstaple.

When I stopped the car the first time I saw this…

…and thought “Ohh, that’s quite impressive, I like that.”

Then, over the next ten minutes or so, this happened.

As they say; right place, right time.

I hope your weekend was equally successful, let’s see what you have for us this week…

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Reflections.

Hello there, time to start your week with a trip around the world in pictures on The Cosmic Photo Challenge, this week inspired by the prompt; Reflections.

With all the rain we’ve had recently, it wasn’t hard to find reflections (and some nice refraction, too) on a chilly walk around the park yesterday.

How was your weekend? Let’s have a look at your pictures, it really is very easy to join in…

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Out of the way places.

Hello and welcome to The Cosmic Photo Challenge, which this week is inspired by the prompt; Out of the way places.

I took a chilly walk around the community woodland at Bratton Flemming, just outside Barnstaple yesterday, capturing the last of the autumn colours and enjoying the peace and quiet.

What did you find, away from the hustle and bustle of modern life?

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: A splash of colour.

This week on The Cosmic Photo Challenge we’re giving our pictures just; A splash of colour.

I was inspired to pick this prompt by the view of a sunset from inside our darkened shed, although I did eventually capture it from outside, too.

Now let’s see how you did with your selective hues…

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Autumn colours.

Today’s edition of The Cosmic Photo Challenge revolves around the theme of; Autumn colours.

It remains to be seen if the wind leaves trees with enough foliage to give us a full autumnal display this year, but the changes are certainly beginning to show.

Now let’s see how the year is progressing in your part of the world.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Sunsets.

For this week’s theme on The Cosmic Photo Challenge, we’re taking in the beauty of; Sunsets.

I captured my shots on exactly the same spot, at more or less the same time on Saturday and Sunday evening. I’ve taken some artistic liberties with last night’s, because why not?

Now let’s see your sundowners.
