An aging hippy living in Devon, I do all this stuff (and I do mean everything - blog, animation, music, photography, the lot) on my lovely smartphone because I started like that, and now I'm too stubborn to get a computer. I don't have a theme, because I don't see why I'd want to talk about the same thing all the time, so why only write about one thing? Good morning, everyone, I hope you enjoyed the weekend, now it’s time to ease you into Monday with The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

Today the theme doesn’t take us far from home, as Friday’s prompt posed the question; How does your garden grow?

The two borders that run down either side of my small garden are filling out nicely, as the annuals, shrubs and small trees spring back to life after their winter rest.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Perspective/Focal point.

It’s Monday and that means a new edition of The Cosmic Photo Challenge, which this week is themed around the prompt; Perspective/Focal point.

Very broadly, we’re talking about photos which lead the eye, inviting us to follow the flow of an image, or to focus on a central feature. That’s my definition, anyway, and I’m sticking to it.   ;~}

I took a pleasant but chilly walk around the grounds of the National Trust’s Arlington Court on Saturday, where the woodland trails and landscaped gardens provided plenty of eye-catching views.

I was very drawn to this other-worldly moss-covered tree
How could you not follow the sinuous curve of this woodland path?
The way the stream winds through the trees makes me want to see where it goes

Good morning, welcome to this bank holiday edition of The Cosmic Photo Challenge, which today is based on the prompt; Over the bridge.

There are a lot of rivers and streams in Barnstaple, so there are a correspondingly high number of bridges, big and small.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: A river runs through it.

Good morning, I hope life finds you well on this lovely Spring day, which is now hopefully improved by the arrival of The Cosmic Photo Challenge and today’s theme; A river runs through it.

We’re talking rivers, streams, canals, any sort of waterway, but even lakes and ponds are welcome, along with their surroundings.

I took a walk around the communal woodland which runs through my neighborhood, where a stream (the delightfully named “Coney Gut”, a tributary of the River Taw) winds its way amongst the wild garlic and wood anemones.

Hello, I hope you’re all well on this beautiful Friday afternoon, I’m here to give you the prompt for this week’s Cosmic Photo Challenge.

I might be labouring the seasonal theme with this suggestion, but after all, today is; The first day of Spring.

With the arrival of a few days of sunshine in the UK, it finally feels like the chill of winter can be forgotten, so let’s all get out in the fresh air and capture the essence of that feeling in images.

As ever, if your particular latitude is experiencing the start of a different season, feel free to share that with us instead.
