The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Distortion.

Good morning, welcome to Monday, it’s time to indulge in some artistic mucking about in the name of The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

This week we’re eschewing pin-sharp perfection for a bit of; Distortion.

Friday’s choice of theme was inspired by this view through my rainy windscreen…

…which in turn inspired some self portraits through rippled glass and a few digitally distorted shots of the garden.

Where did the prompt take you this week?

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: In the canopy.

Good morning to you, wherever you may be, I hope your weekend went well and you’re ready for The Cosmic Photo Challenge, which today is all about the trees. This week we’re featuring foliage photos, finding our inspiration; In the canopy.

It was a gloriously sunny weekend, so yesterday I dragged myself away from a cold cider in the garden long enough for a walk in the local woods. Wild garlic was in full bloom, carpeting the ground in dappled shade from vivid green beech and sycamore trees, the sound of a stream completing the peaceful scene perfectly.

I also took a few more of my “experimental” vertical panoramas, capturing the trees growing behind me arching overhead, which makes for an interesting perspective.

Now let’s see what leafy delights you have to show us…

Is it Friday again already? Well that means it’s time for your prompt on The Cosmic Photo Challenge, hooray!

It pleases me greatly to see the trees coming back into leaf over the last few days, so for this week’s theme we’re going up; In the canopy.

So let’s see some leafy loveliness from you in Monday’s post, to brighten up the start of the week.

Have a great weekend, see y’all soon.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Set in stone.

Good morning, welcome to a very wet Monday, kicking off the week with today’s edition of The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

This week’s theme is very specific, at least you’d think so, because it’s; Set in stone.

Now let’s see what you captured over the weekend…

The end of another week means it’s time for me to set the theme for The Cosmic Photo Challenge and today we’re looking for images which are; Set in stone.

As ever, the way you illustrate the prompt is entirely up to you and I look forward to seeing what you come up with on Monday.

Have a great weekend, see y’all on the other side.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge: Inversions.

Happy bank holiday Monday to you all, I hope the Easter weekend went swimmingly and you’re enjoying the extra day off.

This week The Cosmic Photo Challenge is based on the prompt; Inversions.

I went out snapping early yesterday morning, without a clear idea of what I would do with my photos, but I had a flash of inspiration as I sat in the garden with a cider and I think they came out rather well.

I like the way the inverted half of each image makes it look like they’re not lined up straight, but they really are, honest.

How did you do with the topsy turvy challenge this week..?

This week on The Cosmic Photo Challenge we’re going to get everything the wrong way round, with the prompt; Inversions.

There are all sorts of ways to spin that in your own creative direction, so I’ll leave you to ponder over the Easter holiday and see you back here on Monday.

Have a great weekend and enjoy the extended break.
