Good morning, it’s time for The Cosmic Photo Challenge and this week’s theme; Look to the skies.
I seem to remember the last time we had this prompt was when the Northern Lights were visible across large parts of the UK and I completely failed to see any. Well over the weekend those two events coincided once again and once again I failed to see the slightest flicker.
Still, there have been some very fine skyscapes elsewhere recently, including a nice moody shot from Friday evening and one of a reflected wind turbine which is almost all sky.

What did you see when you looked up at the weekend..?

Any and all effects, editing, Photoshop, Instagram, morphing, collages, animation, gifs, or whatever other post production techniques you fancy are permitted, (in fact, they’re actively encouraged!) so get creative and turn your photos into artworks for the Cosmic Photo Challenge.
I didn’t get any northern lights pictures either. But you did capture some cool skies.

I especially liked the first one with the sunrise (or set) adding contrast to the dark blues and blacks of the sky, clouds and ground.

Thank you, Frank, the sun was setting over Ashdown Forest (the real location of all the Winnie The Pooh stories)
